Initial Dunlop Taikoo Range

All new aircraft tires in the Dunlop Aircraft Tyres range are available through Dunlop Taikoo. Dunlop Taikoo will retread the following tires in its initial phase of operation for the Asia Pacific market.

Certification

The certification process is progressing satisfactorily. Tires manufactured in Great Britain by Dunlop Aircraft Tyres have the appropriate certifications to be sold by Dunlop Taikoo in the region. Indeed, Dunlop has for many years sold new aircraft tires into the Asia Pacific region.

Dunlop Taikoo is currently working through the CAAC auditing process. The audits shall be completed later in 2009 when Dunlop Taikoo will be able to begin releasing aircraft tires that it has retreaded in China into the Asia Pacific market.

Dunlop Aircraft Tyres in Great Britain hold the following certifications:

• Federal Aviation Authority: Part 145, retreading repair station
• EASA: Part 21 subpart G (Manufacture) and subpart J (Design)
• EASA: Part 145: Maintenance Organisation
• ISO9001:2000/AS9100: Design, Manufacture and Retreading

Dunlop Aircraft Tyres is the only tire manufacturer that has achieved EASA subpart J approval which allows it to apply for and hold supplemental type certificates for Europe.
