dunlop taikoo factory in Jinjiang

Dunlop Taikoo is a Joint venture between Dunlop Aircraft Tyres (UK), Hong Kong Aeronautical Company (Hong Kong) and Taeco Aircraft Engineering (China).

The company was formed to provide a choice of aircraft tire supply to operators and MRO's in the Asia Pacific region and to realise the Dunlop Aircraft Tyres strategic growth plan.  The Directors of the company include senior executives from the three joint venture partners.

Dunlop Taikoo will store and distribute new Dunlop brand civil aircraft tires and will provide a local retread service to Asia Pacific countries. The new facility occupies some 13,000 square metres and houses the latest retreading machinery and sufficient inventory to provide excellent turn-around time and customer service.

The site is located in a Special Economic Zone which allows customers to benefit from a reduction in administration and faster passage of product through customs.

Ownership

Dunlop Aircraft Tyres is the majority shareholder and HAECO and TAECO are minority shareholders.

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Ltd (HAECO)

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited - better known as HAECO - has provided comprehensive aeronautical engineering and maintenance services to airlines and operators since 1950. HAECO has, over the years, expanded beyond the boundaries of Hong Kong SAR into other cities in China with Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (TAECO) at Xiamen, Fujian, and Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Co. Ltd. (STAECO) at Jinan, Shandong. Recently, a joint venture "Taikoo SIchuan Aircraft Engineering Services Co. Ltd." has been formed in Sichuan. It also operates maintenance facilities in Singapore - Singapore (HAECO) Pte. Ltd. (SHAECO), and Bahrain. In addition, HAECO has established joint ventures with key major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in pursuit of providing “Total Care” services to its customers.

Taikoo Aircraft Engineering Company Ltd (TAECO)

TAECO provide bespoke Fleet Technical Management (FTM) service to Airlines, which include Airline Engineering, Airline Inventory Technical Management (ITM) and Component Asset Management Program (CAMP). TAECO is located in the Gaoqi International Airport in Xiamen, and currently has four hangers which could house eight wide body aircraft and three narrow body aircraft simultaneously. The company has gained a reputation in the MRO industry for high quality maintenance, reasonable price and competitive turnaround time. TAECO is looking for further expansion and has determined to become the largest maintenance and modification centre in Asia-pacific region.
